This movie is worth watching. I will tell you why as you read down. For those who loves dogs, this is going to be your favorite movie to watch.

Summary

Both siblings Andi and Bruce who are orphan, have been changing their so called foster parents for over a few times and their last foster parents if they ever disown them. The social worker Bernie, will have to separate them and put them with different foster parents. This is provided they do not get into any trouble for the last time. The problem with them was that, all their foster parents do not like pets and thus there is such a no pet policy apply. In order to care for their dog named “Friday”, they had to do many things secretly without letting their foster parent know. Andi is a very smart kid who knows how to make use of any item available to become his little invention.

In the process of that, they stumble upon this derelict hotel. In this derelict hotel lives two stray dogs which has been resident even before they found the place. Both siblings started transforming this hotel into a place where all dogs can live comfortably without been afraid of getting caught. It’s such a good hideaway they gather together a motley crew of kids to help round up all the stray dogs in the city and kennel them at the hotel. Between Andi’s protective nature and Bruce’s gift with devising gadgets (enter the aforementioned makeshift puppy-care contraptions) they cheerfully keep the operation running, knowing that one slip up could mean their separation and a one-way trip to the pound for all the pups.

Their hideaway finally got found out by the pet control worker and thus this would mean they are in real trouble. This would also mean they would be seperated from the dogs but also both of them will be send to different foster home.

The question is who will be able to help save the dog from been put to sleep?

Overall, the story build up slowly but also perfectly just nice. The two sibling are about the right age to show cast that even kids have the ability to make a big different. They do not need to be rich nor do they need much help from anybody to do something good without getting any return. I would rate this movie 5 out of 5. It nice to see that dogs are also living things and thus we should not treat them as if they are pest. Dogs do have feelings too. In my own opinion, this movie is trying to show that dogs are also human best friend when we need their accompany.

Before I rate this movie. I think its best for me to write a short review regarding this movie. Basically, this movie is film in Thailand and thus for those who have watched Thai Movie before, Thai ghost are supposed to be evil and fierce and this movie does not disappoint its viewer at all.

Summary

Chain, a projectionist decides to join Yod to film an illegally horror movie with the gain of getting some money in return since he needs come quick cash to get buy back the watch he pawned just for drugs. The watch belongs to his Girlfriend and he took it without her permission in desperate to get drug. While playing the film, Chain falls asleep and wakes up to find out that Yod has already disappeared and left his camera behind. Chain started to feel the fear creeping inside him after he saw what was recorded in Yod camera.

As Chain desperately finds the answer to his missing friend Yod and also the horrific ghost haunting him every now and then. He discovered that this group of movie maker actually caused the death of an actress just because they wanted to see results. It was during one of the scene where she was hang and had to act as if she is been hanged. In the process, one of the safety line snapped and nobody notice the snap until one of the crew member realized it. By then it was too late, she was already really hanged to death.

Due to this, whoever watch this movie will be dead. The actress wanted those who thinks seeing her death was fun to be dead like her. A revenge for seeing her hang to death.

Comments

I would rate this movie 2 out of 5 stars. One of the main reason was that, I was expecting them to find a prist or anybody who has the power to cast this spirit back to where it should be and resolve the issue. The movie itself was not that horrible but instead it was the sound that makes it scary. Good enough, it still carries to some extend the creepiness and horror of the movie. In my own opinion, this movie is still not as scary as The Ring, The Shutter, The Eye etc. As a start for those who want to try to overcome fear, this movie would be something nice for beginner (guys who hope their girlfriend clinch on them during the scary part).

For those who expect it to be very horror movie. I think you would be definitely very disappointed with it. It is not as horror as you think it is.

Basically this movie I shall give it about 2.5 stars out of 5. One of the main reason was that it is very draggy and also the ending was quite stupid personally. To make it simply, the super heros are the one trying to be king of the world by taking out the two great super power country which is US and Russia. In order for the plan to work, one of them who is known to be the “speedy” make use of Dr Manhattan supernatural power to construct something similar to that of a nuclear weapon capable of destorying the entire universal….

Before I go on,  let’s just take a look at the summary of the story.

Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion a ragtag group of retired superheroes Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanitybut who is watching the watchmen?

Story Development

The story begins with the Comedian been killed. Rorchach beings to investigate the cause of death (The Comedian). In the process of investigation, he discovers that all the past superheroes seem to be the target of the assassination. The start to warn Nite Owl than Ozymandias and the rest of the others to be on guard. Despite these warning, the superheros are still been haunted down one by one.

Doctor Manhattan works for the governemtn and helped end the Vietnam War with The Comedian but ever since a horrible sciencific experiment accident that transformed him into a god-like super-powered creature which people called him Doctor Manhattan.  This cause him to have conflict in his relationship with Laurie as days passby. Laurie also harbors resentment toward The Comedian, who tried to rape her mother, the orginal Silk Spectre (Carla Gugino), and seeks solace in the company of her old friend Nite Owl.

Even though in between the show, there are some nudity between Dr Manhattan and Laurie. The other part of the scene was Nite Owl and Laurie which was quite short but still the story was some how quite packed. Rorschach was later framed for killing a innocent at a house and was put to jail with the rest of the people whom he has caused them to be in. After the incident of the oil fight at the canteen, the jail went into chaos. Nite Owl and Laurie decided to rescus Rorschach out from the jail he is in while Dr. Manhattan was still at Mars in his own world thinking about what to do next.

After recusing Rorschach from the jail, Dr. Manhattan appearred before them while the ship landed. Dr. Manhattan took Laurie away to Mars to have a quiet talk while Nite Owl and Rorschach went to Ozymandias office in search for clues about what is really going on since Rorschach suspect Ozymandias might be the one behind the death of The Comedian. He is the only person whom nobody in the group knows his real identity as he is always seen with the mask on. In the process of ransacking his office, they came across a file that shows the amount of money he spent on a particular research that was based at the Artic. To their Horrified, the research and construction was built by no other person, Dr. Manhattan. In order to prevent the destruction of the world, they quickly flew over to stop his action.

Upon arriving, the two was still no match for Ozymandias fast speed and reflex. It was until Dr. Manhattan appear that things took a turn. Dr. Manhattan was lured into a similar place just like the accident that happened to him years back. Ozymandias sacrifice his “dog” just to destory Dr. Manhattan as he was trying to oppose his plan to create a world that he desire.  Over the years, Dr. Manhattan had learnt to live amount humans and at the same time protecting himself from danger and thus he was not killed in the process. He reappear as a graint outside the building and wanting to crush Ozymandias when news of the two superpower joint venture and to create a humanity world for their people.

Despite all these, Rorschach is still unconvinced of the way Ozymandias does things want to tell the whole world about it. He was stopped by Dr. Manhattan. Dr. Manhattan didn’t want to kill him as he try to pursude him to look on the bright side. Rorschach begged to kill him instead and thus his wish was granted in the process before Nite Owl could stop him from doing so.

The story ended with Nite Owl and Laurie leaving Artic and Dr. Manhattan disappearing into thin air. Only Ozymandias stayed on at his so called lab alone and away from the rest of the world.

Comments:

Overall the graphic was excellent but despite that not many people would appreciate or would be interested in this story as it was based on a comic book which I have yet to read  so I’m not too sure of the interesting part of it. It is quite different from that of the rest of the Movel Comic Books.
